Blue Wren Card

One of my Flickr friends was saying her mailbox was lonely, so at lunchtime I bought a blue wren card in my travels, and set to altering it for her. This is what I came up with - not entirely happy with it, as I could only use embellishments and things I had around the office. Still, it’s flown away to the USA now.

New Moo

I *heart* Moo cards, this is the third set I’ve ordered now. I use them as business cards, put them with swaps, and use them for swing tags on my Bags de Jour. This round I made some using detail from my collages…I’m quite happy with the way they turned out.

Sweet little birdy

I originally made these for Etsy, but I think I’ll send them to my swapbot partner for the ‘Bird Mad Girls’ swap I hosted.
The canvases are 2″ square.

Moustachioed fun!

…aka “Rockin’ the Facial Hair”

Ah, serendipity. I was reading someone’s profile on swap-bot about facial hair and I got to pondering – lots of Frida Kahlo style swaps, but no Dali. And then someone emailed me this cat pic…

So I knew I had to start a swap… “what I’m proposing is to do some creating – the only catch is that your creation has to have a Dali-esque moustache. (And some extra facial hair too if you like.) It’s an international swap. Send 1 partner your best moustaches on everything creation…make a stuffie, paint some art, homemade moustache kit, build a shrine, draw moustaches on family photos, but it’s gotta have that vital factor!” Join the swap here, if you’re so inclined.

I also think at the back of my mind I had these gorgeous birds, created by Anisa. Anisa’s also in on the moustache fun, check out her blog.
