Collage for Katey

collage-for-katey-for-blog.jpg

Here’s a collage that I made as a pressie for my buddie KateyB.  This one measures 10×7 inches and features a lot of vintage ephemera.

The saying “If I keep a green bough in my heart, the singing bird will come.”, is a Chinese proverb, one of my favourites.

‘Kitty and all’ collage

Handmade collage on canvas, currently for sale at:

Here’s a collage, and the theme I went with on this one is vintage and pretty! Little bits and pieces, scraps of ephemera combine for a textured piece that wants to be hanging on your wall! Sealed and measures 15 x 7 cm, and one of a kind.

The canvases are 2″ square.

Moustachioed fun!

…aka “Rockin’ the Facial Hair”

Ah, serendipity. I was reading someone’s profile on swap-bot about facial hair and I got to pondering – lots of Frida Kahlo style swaps, but no Dali. And then someone emailed me this cat pic…

So I knew I had to start a swap… “what I’m proposing is to do some creating – the only catch is that your creation has to have a Dali-esque moustache. (And some extra facial hair too if you like.) It’s an international swap. Send 1 partner your best moustaches on everything creation…make a stuffie, paint some art, homemade moustache kit, build a shrine, draw moustaches on family photos, but it’s gotta have that vital factor!” Join the swap here, if you’re so inclined.

I also think at the back of my mind I had these gorgeous birds, created by Anisa. Anisa’s also in on the moustache fun, check out her blog.
